Support ACT
Like many performing arts organizations, ACT relies on donations to keep our theater running and providing quality performances. Ticket sales alone do not cover our costs – we need the investment of donors who value what ACT offers the community. We call our donors “members” because when you give a gift to ACT, you become part of our theater family!

Legacy Giving
Estate Gifts
Including Ankeny Community Theatre in your will or trust is one of the easiest gifts you can make. It requires no money now and you can be certain to still take care of your family by choosing to leave a percentage of your estate or trust to ACT, rather than a specific dollar amount.
Just include the following language in your will or trust:
“I bequeath $______ or ______% of my estate for its unrestricted use and purpose to Ankeny Community Theatre, a non-profit corporation existing under the laws of the State of Iowa and located in Ankeny, IA”
IRA Charitable Rollover
If you are 72 or older (or if you made a gift from your IRA before the aged was raised from 70½ last year), you can take advantage of a simple way to benefit Ankeny Community Theatre and receive tax benefits in return. You can give up to $100,000 from your IRA directly to a qualified charity such as ours without having to pay income taxes on the money. This law no longer has an expiration date so you are free to make annual gifts to our organization this year and well into the future.
Why Consider This Gift?
Your gift will be put to use today, allowing you to see the difference your donation is making.
You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions. If you have not yet taken your required minimum distribution for the year, your IRA charitable rollover gift can satisfy all or part of that requirement.
Memorial Gifts
Recognize the life of a loved one by designating ACT as a recipient of memorial gifts. Donors/families that designate ACT as a recipient of memorial contributions have their loved one who passed away recognized in our entryway.
