Show Synopsis:
Zoey will introduce her new boyfriend, TJ to her parents, Thomas and Joanne, at the city’s finest restaurant (The Overlook) on Friday evening. She is nervous because her father has never liked any of her beaus. Since her father’s approval is important, Zoey calls local radio personality Ada Lynn for advice. But how was Zoey to know that her father would be listening? Or that he would take advice meant for Zoey’s boyfriend as advice for himself? That leads to a series of misunderstandings that come to a head when all eight of our characters eventually meet at The Overlook in unexpected and hilarious ways.
Note: If the show title and description sound familiar, that is because The Perfect Rendezvous was originally produced by ACT as a one-act comedy in August of 2021. It has been retooled as a two-act musical for this production. Bigger, better, funnier, and with great music!
